Sutton
Coldfield Baptist Church
Our
church is in a town of approximately 100.000 and we have a membership
of 500 people and a large number of children. We meet in an old
school building on a hill in the centre of town. We have missionaries
who work in lots of different countries around the world, including
Africa. The church is committed to making the love Jesus known
both near and far.
Instep
Walking Group
Over
recent years our small walking group have undertaken money-raising
challenges and have supported work in England and abroad. For
the last three years we have sent £6.500 to the Musonda
Village School Project enabling a new building to be constructed.
The school has been named, 'The Gerald Evans Memorial School.’
The
walking group has members from different churches and also friends
who enjoy walking in our beautiful English countryside.
Our
money raising challenge for 2006 is at Carsington Water, a large
reservoir in Derbyshire. The money we raise will go towards a
Hammer Mill for the Musonda Village in Zambia.
